After the examination period, I got a bad mark. With the thought of mother’s angry criticism, I really wanted to fall a hole. Back home, I put the papers in my bookcase, then did my homework as if nothing happened. Unexpectedly, mom was really wise, and suddenly asked me, ‘by the way, is the examination result out?” I was scared and answered carefully, ‘If I don’t do well, will you scold me?’
Mom seemed to understand. She went back to the room and got a box for me. It was a gift! Mom saw the confusion on my face, smiled and said, ‘Just open it along the line.’ I opened the box and saw a smiling thumb nodding to me. Mom said, ‘If don’t pay it, and you got 120 points, I will also be angry. But as long as you work hard, even you don’t test well, just don’t worry about it.
