A Greener World

       It’s very important for us to know about rubbish sorting, because it can help us save energy as well as protecting the environment.
       There are four kinds of rubbish in total. That’s why my mother prepares four rubbish bins of different colors in our home. The green one in the kitchen is for kitchen waste. All left-over food will be used to help plants grow. The blue one in the study is for recyclable waste such as paper, plastic and so on. We sell it to a scrap dealer to put it to good use and also change some money back at the same time. The red one near the door is for harmful waste. For example, butteries, bulbs and other waste which are bad for people’s health will be put in a right place. The black one in the living room is for other waste. We send it to landfills. Although I have to throw rubbish twice a day now, I think it’s meaningful and it is worth doing so.
       Everyone should learn to sort rubbish and make good use of it, and we’ll have a greener world. 

       对我们来说，了解垃圾分类是很重要的，因为它可以帮助我们节约能源和保护环境。
       垃圾分四种，我妈妈在我们家准备了四个不同颜色的垃圾桶。绿色的是用来放厨房垃圾的，剩下的食物都将用来帮助植物生长。蓝色垃圾桶是用于回收纸张、塑料等可回收垃圾，我们把它卖给废品经销商，使它得到很好的利用。红色的是有害废物，如黄油、灯泡等不利于人们健康的废物将被放在一个正确的地方。客厅里那个黑色的是用来放其他垃圾的，被送到垃圾填埋场。虽然我现在每天要扔两次垃圾，但我认为这很有意义。
       每个人都应该学会分类和善用垃圾，这样我们就会有一个更绿色的世界。
