For here or to go?（√）
For here or to go?是快餐餐厅店员经常用来询问顾客“这里用还是外带?”的固定说法。有关go的其他用法，如:(1) Her fever just won't go.(她的高烧就是不退。)(2)His eyesight is going.(他的视力愈来愈差了。)(3) Those good old days are all gone.(从前那些美好的日子已经消逝了。)
2. It's
better for you to wear a pair of glasses when swimming.(x)
It's better for you to wear a pair of goggles when
swimming.（√）
glasses 指“一般(阅读)的眼镜”。goggles指“用来保护眼睛的泳镜/防风镜/护目镜”等。
3. She
heard a lot of gossips about me.(x)
She heard a lot of gossip about me. （√）
作“闲话”解时，gossip是不可数名词。作“一段闲话的进行”解时，用a gossip,如:They're having a gossip.(他们正在闲扯。)作“喜欢讲别人闲话的人”解时，gossip是可数名词，如:She is an old gossip.(她是一名长舌妇。)
4. Do
we have time to get a bite before the movie?(x)
Do we have time to grab / have a bite before the
movie? （√）
get a bite是指钓鱼时“鱼来咬饵”，如:1 sat for hours and never got a bite.(我坐了好几个钟头，鱼儿都不来咬。) grab / have a bite指的是“随便吃点东西”。
5. I'll
give you three days' delay to pay the rent.(x)
I'll give you three days' grace to pay the rent.（√）
表“宽限期”应该用grace。
