As a Chinese, I take pride in the fast development of my motherland. Five years ago, there were only rice fields around my home, but how about now? You can see a big shopping mall with various advanced facilities. You can see the increasing speed of GDP in the last decade has never got below 7%. You can see our air forces protecting us in the air; you can see Beidou satellites guiding our everyday life; you can see many skyscrapers either in operation or under construction; you can see the Dragon submarine exploring deep under the sea; and you can see the whole country is creating new occupations and making new products at an amazingly high speed. You can see we have better high-speed railways, if not the best, and it’s praised not only at home but also abroad. The passengers comment that they feel it comfortable and convenient to travel this way.
作为一个中国人，我为祖国的快速发展而自豪。五年前，我家附近只有稻田，现在你可以看到一个大型的购物中心，配备了各种先进的设施。你可以看到，在过去的十年里，GDP 的增长速度从未低于7%。你可以看到我们的空军在空中保护我们的领空；你可以看到北斗卫星引导我们的日常生活；你可以看到许多摩天大楼拔地而起；你可以看到海底深海探险；你可以看到整个国家正在创造新的职业，并以惊人的速度生产新产品。你可以看到，我们有更好的高速铁路，在国外声名远扬。
