Qu Yuan (c.339-c.278) was a poet and statesman of the state of chu in the warring states period of China.In his early years,he was trusted by king Hing of Chu and managed domestic affairs and foreign affairs. It was adrocated that they should be able to raise the talents of the inner world , improve the law, and fight against the Qin. Being humiliated by the nobles ,Qu Yuan drowned himself in the miluo river and died for his honor .Qu Yuan was the first great patriotic poet and the founder of Chinese romantic literature.
People pay their respects to Qu Yuan on the Dragon Boat Festival every year on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month .There are many folk customs on Dragon Boat Festival, sush as making zong zi ,inserting mugwort, racing dragon boats and so on .People pray for haruest prosperity and peace through these traditional customs .
We should cherish and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture ,we should praise and remember the heroes of Chinese culture ,so that the Chinese tradition will endure.
中国文化博大精深，五千年的文明使中国灿烂辉煌，中国节日是对传统文化、英雄的纪念，是中国传统的具体体现。屈原（公元339-公元278）是战国时期楚国的诗人和政治家，早年受到楚王的信任，管理内政和外事。屈原是中国第一位伟大的爱国诗人，浪漫主义文学的奠基人，后因受贵族的羞辱，投身汨罗江中。每年农历五月五，人们在端午节向屈原致敬。端午节有很多民俗，比如做粽子、插艾草、赛龙舟等等。我们应该珍惜和发扬中国传统文化，我们应该赞美和铭记中国文化的英雄，这样中国传统才能持久。（指导老师：任幼娜）
